Services

Our Services

The Société apicole du Québec (Quebec Beekeeping Society) offers a complete range of services to connect citizens, businesses, and institutions with the fascinating world of bees. Each of our activities aims to raise awareness, educate, and foster concrete commitment to biodiversity.

Urban beekeeping

Hives that unite, an initiative that inspires

What if your offices became a place where biodiversity is protected while bringing your teams together? The decline of pollinators is a global issue, and more and more companies are choosing to address it by installing beehives on their premises.

With our turnkey service, we install and manage your beehives throughout the year: maintenance, health monitoring, prevention, and harvesting. You benefit from educational support that keeps your employees connected to the project through educational capsules and regular follow-ups.

The highlight of the season occurs when we bring our mobile honey house directly to your site. Your teams then participate in the extraction and bottling of "their" honey, share a tasting, and experience a unique event that leaves a lasting impression.

By choosing urban beekeeping, you contribute to biodiversity, strengthen your eco-responsible approach, and offer your employees a meaningful collective project that enhances your brand image.

Beehive Sponsorship

A sustainable and accessible alternative

Hosting beehives on your site is not always possible. Lack of space, security constraints, or saturation of urban apiaries harming native bees: the obstacles are numerous.

Beehive sponsorship is a simple and responsible alternative that allows your company to own a beehive for a summer. Located in a natural environment rich in nectar, the beehive is fully taken care of by our beekeepers, who handle maintenance, health monitoring, and the harvesting of your honey. This can be done directly at our honey house or, for an even more memorable experience, at your premises with our mobile honey house, involving your employees alongside the beekeeper.

The jarring is then entrusted to your teams, transforming this step into a friendly and unifying activity. Each jar, identified with your company's name, becomes a symbol of your eco-responsible commitment and can be offered to your employees, clients, or donated to a local charity.

Imagine an experience that transforms your business or school into a true bee interpretation center for a day. With the mobile honey house, we bring a complete extraction room to you for an immersive activity that combines discovery, participation, and gourmet pleasure.

At businesses, schools, or events, the mobile honey house offers a unique and memorable experience that combines learning, awareness, and the pleasure of tasting freshly extracted honey. It's the ideal opportunity to bring people closer to the fascinating world of beekeeping without having to travel.

Around the honey house, our educational panels transform the space into a temporary interpretation center, offering visitors a rich and accessible educational journey. And because every discovery deserves a reward, the visit ends with a sweet surprise that leaves everyone with a gourmet and joyful memory.

Online Training

100% Online Beekeeping Training

Our 100% online training program offers everyone the opportunity to learn beekeeping at their own pace, no matter where they are. Accessible and practical, this training is suitable for both the curious and those who want to actively start raising bees.

Throughout the modules, students discover the essential basics of beekeeping: the life cycle of bees, the role of the colony and the queen, honey production, techniques for maintaining a hive, as well as methods for preventing and controlling parasites and diseases. A complete section is also dedicated to winterization, to ensure the survival and health of colonies during the harshest months.

Each graduate leaves the training with the practical knowledge necessary to confidently raise their own hive. To go even further, participants who wish can receive a hive and a nucleus (NUC), to immediately put the acquired skills into practice.

Internships

An internship for the beekeeper of tomorrow

From mid-May to mid-September, the Société Apicole du Québec offers young enthusiasts the chance to dive into the heart of a complete beekeeping season.

Supervised by our beekeepers, each intern experiences a unique journey that combines learning, practice, and total immersion in the fascinating world of bees.

Beyond technique, it's a true human adventure. Interns discover the rigor and patience required by beekeeping, develop their confidence, and acquire the autonomy needed to manage their own apiary. And because we believe in the next generation, each selected participant will leave the following spring with a number of new hives, including bees, equivalent to those they learned to manage, to launch their own beekeeping adventure.

This program is a rare opportunity to transform a passion into expertise, to experience a full season alongside bees, and to contribute to the future of Quebec beekeeping.

Eco-responsibility

Pollinator Awareness Program

Our awareness service places pollinators at the heart of corporate eco-responsibility. Through a series of online modules, released once a month, employees discover the essential role of bees, bumblebees, butterflies, and other pollinators, as well as concrete actions to protect them: choosing melliferous plants, reducing pesticides, developing pollinator-friendly spaces, and adopting good practices at work and at home.

Companies register their employees on our platform and monitor their progress using a dedicated dashboard, which allows them to structure and clearly demonstrate their commitment to biodiversity.

At the end of the year, each employee will receive a pollinator-focused eco-responsibility certificate, while the company will receive a registration certificate and a completion certificate, which can be used to support a third-party eco-responsible certification process.
