Training courses
We offer three types of complementary training programs, suitable for all levels: from discovering the theoretical basics to complete immersion in the field. Each program has been designed to impart concrete, applicable knowledge adapted to Quebec's reality.
Many students choose to start with the online theoretical training, then continue with practical training or an internship to consolidate their learning.
Regardless of the chosen program, our objective remains the same: to impart rigorous knowledge adapted to Quebec, and to train competent, responsible, and autonomous beekeepers.
Online theoretical training
The online theoretical training is for anyone who wants to understand beekeeping in depth before taking action.
Accessible 24/7 and followed at your own pace, it covers the essential basics: bee biology, colony functioning, inspections, health, harvesting, reproduction, overwintering, and management adapted to our climate.
This formula is ideal for:
- Beginners who want to start with a solid foundation
- Future beekeepers who want to structure their knowledge
- People wishing to work for a beekeeper and acquire recognized theoretical knowledge
It helps develop a clear understanding of the "why" behind each intervention in the apiary.
Practical Training – Beekeeper for a Day
The "Beekeeper for a Day" practical training is an immersive, hands-on experience.
You will participate in real apiary activities: opening hives, inspecting frames, evaluating egg laying, observing brood, safely handling bees, and gaining a concrete understanding of the decisions made.
This format allows you to:
- Experience the real life of a beekeeper
- Validate your interest before committing
- Connect theory to practice
It's an excellent introduction for the curious, the passionate, and future beekeepers.
Beekeeping internship – Observation or supervised responsibilities
This internship is for those who want to go further and have a more in-depth experience.
Two options are available:
Observation Internship
The intern accompanies the beekeeper in their daily tasks, observes interventions, participates in technical discussions, and understands the overall management of a professional apiary.
Supervised Responsibility Internship
The intern takes charge of certain tasks or becomes responsible for an apiary under the supervision of an experienced beekeeper. They learn to plan interventions, analyze the state of colonies, make decisions, and take responsibility for the results, all while being mentored.
This option is ideal for:
- Future professional beekeepers
- Individuals wishing to work in the field
- Those who want to develop their autonomy and beekeeping judgment
