Learning beekeeping requires more than just motivation.

In a context like Quebec, characterized by short seasons, demanding wintering, and particular health challenges, it is essential to rely on proven and adapted methods. This training has been designed to offer a solid, clear, and structured foundation, taking into account the specific realities of beekeeping in Quebec.

Training designed for serious learners

This training is aimed at anyone wishing to acquire reliable basics in beekeeping, future beekeepers wishing to start on solid foundations, as well as those considering working in the beekeeping sector. The objective is not only to transmit information, but to develop a lasting and applicable understanding in the field.

A comprehensive, accessible, and progressive training

The training is offered entirely online and accessible at all times. It allows for progress at your own pace, without time constraints. Each module lasts an average of three hours, some being shorter and others more in-depth, which promotes a gradual integration of knowledge.

Structured content covering all essential basics

The training includes twelve modules covering the fundamental elements of beekeeping. It addresses, among other things, an introduction to the practice, the biology and organization of the colony, beekeeping equipment, starting a hive, managing the annual cycle, health and common problems, harvesting products, the principles of responsible beekeeping, wintering techniques adapted to Quebec, and the applicable regulatory framework.

Beyond learning the actions, this training focuses on understanding the mechanisms. It allows distinguishing reliable information from approximate practices, identifying methods truly adapted to Quebec, and understanding the reasons behind each intervention. The objective is to develop real autonomy and the ability to make informed decisions.

A structured learning method

Each module offers detailed content including text and visuals, with the option of audio playback. An assessment is required at the end of each module, with a passing grade of 85%, in order to access the next module, ensuring coherent and measurable progress throughout the training.

Final evaluation and certification

The training concludes with a final exam. Participants who achieve a score of 85% or higher receive a diploma certifying their success and their understanding of essential concepts.

Facilitated transition to practice

To encourage the practical application of knowledge, a complete hive, including all the necessary elements for starting, is offered to participants who share this course description on their Facebook account. Following successful completion of the training, a bee colony, in the form of a NUC, is also offered, this time to students who share their diploma on their Facebook account, allowing for immediate practical application of what has been learned.

A model promoting engagement and progression

In addition, a referral program allows participants to obtain store credit, enabling the acquisition of an additional hive or NUC for each person recommended, with no limit on recommendations or hives/NUCs offered. This mechanism aims to support the development of beekeepers while encouraging the dissemination of the training.
